History: Amber is fossilized tree resin. Its colour and clarity range between pale to deep and from clear to opaque. The Baltic region of Europe is particularly rich in this organic gemstone. Butterscotch egg-yolk amber is some of the rarest. This particular piece was carried from Lithuania during WW2 as a precious keepsake.
